  • Is The Pear Tree free to enter?

    YES. But to see the show you must purchase a ticket

  • Is The Pear Tree for all ages?

    The Pear Tree is an 18+ venue.

  • Where can I purchase tickets?

    The Pear Tree sells tickets through its own ticketing system on this website and in person at The Pear Tree box office which will open on the 18 Jan 2019.

    In addition you can also purchase tickets from www.fringeworld.com.au

    Please note: The Pear Tree only takes responsibility for tickets purchased through its own points of sale. Any queries regarding tickets purchased through Fringe World need to be directed back to Fringe World.

  • When is The Pear Tree's onsite box office open?

    18 Jan - 2 Mar 2019 (Excl. Mondays).

    1 hr prior to first performance until 15 mins after the final performance of the night

  • How do I collect my tickets?

    The Pear Tree only accepts printed tickets. We recommend arriving at least one hour before the start time of your show to collect your tickets from the box office.

    Between 18/01/2019 and 17/02/2019, you may collect your tickets direct from The Pear Tree box office or from a Perth Fringeworld box office. You will need to present your confirmation number and the credit card used to purchase tickets.

  • Where is the box office?

    The Pear Tree's box office is located near the entrance of the site, at 388 William St, Perth WA

  • Are there any age restrictions to performances?

    Age suitability is listed with every performance at The Pear Tree

    G: Suitable for All Ages

    PG: Parental Guidance recommended for under 15 yrs

    M: Recommended for 15+

    18+: Restricted to those 18+

  • What types of tickets are sold by The Pear Tree?

    Adult | Full price tickets

    Premium | Selected premium seating areas close to the stage with priority access to the venue

    Standing | Standing areas only, no seating is provided

    Companion Card | The Pear Tree supports the Companion Card program. Companion Card tickets are available over the phone or in person★

    Proof of eligibility required and must be presented when collecting pre-purchased ticket or when otherwise requested

  • Am I eligible for concession?

    There aren't any specific special prices for Concession cardholders with the exception of Companion Cards. 

  • Do tickets include GST?

    Where applicable, GST is included in the ticket price.

  • Can I change my tickets?

    You may be able to exchange your ticket to another performance of the same event, at our discretion and subject to a $5.00 fee. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

  • Is the price listed on this website the price I'll actually pay for my tickets?

    All advertised prices include Booking Fees. If you purchase a ticket on our website, your transaction is subject to a $2.20 web transaction fee.  No transaction fees are applicable when tickets are purchased in person. If you wish to receive your tickets by post, you must pay an additional postage fee. 

    Tickets will be posted weekly up till the 21st of December 2018. After the 21st all hard copy tickets will need to be picked up from The Pear Tree box office or any Fringe World Box Office.  

  • Can I choose my seat in advance?

    No. All venues and events are General Admission

    If you have purchased a Premium Ticket, you will be given priority entry into the venue and seats within the Premium section of the tent.

  • What is General Admission?

    This means that your ticket does not assign you a specific allocated seat at the venue.

  • What happens if I am running late for a performance? Will they let me in? Do I get a refund?

    Being late affects performers and the rest of the audience. This is so important that some artists specifically ask that latecomers not be admitted. The Pear Tree therefore reserves the right to exclude latecomers to certain events or to admit them only during a suitable break in the performance. The Pear Tree regrets it is not possible to refund a completed booking. Please respect the Front of House staff's instructions.

  • Is there any basic etiquette I need to be aware of?

    You are not allowed to use mobile phones, paging devices, alarm or chiming watches during performances. Using cameras or other recording devices is a breach of copyright and absolutely not allowed. Be nice and remember to consider those around you trying to also enjoy their night out.

    Wheelchair seating at BLANC de BLANC is at the front of the General Admission section. Please contact FRINGE WORLD to book for a patron using a wheelchair and their companion.

  • Is the venue accessible?

    The Pear Tree is an accessible venue.

  • Does The Pear Tree have accessible toilets?

    Yes.

  • Is accessible parking available?

  • Does The Pear Tree support the Companion Card Scheme?

    Yes. Companion Card tickets can be booked in person or by phone. Should you require the assistance of a companion or carer to attend events or venues, The Pear Tree will issue a second ticket at no charge.

  • What do I do if I lose a child or parent?

    Please notify a member of staff or security immediately.

  • Where do I report lost articles?

    If you find something, please hand it in to any member of staff and we’ll do our best to return the item to its owner.

    The Pear Tree is not responsible for any lost or found property and will give any unclaimed items to charity or to the police at the conclusion of the season.

  • What do I do if I find something?

    If you find something, please hand it in to any member of staff and we’ll do our best to return the item to its owner.

  • How do I get to The Pear Tree?

    Leave the car at home and take public transport or ride your bike, there is limited parking near the site. Find out more at https://www.visitperth.com.au/en/getting-around

  • Where can I park?

    There is limited car parking near the site.  For locations please visit https://www.cityofperthparking.com.au/

  • Is there bike parking at The Pear Tree?

    Yes. There is a dedicated bike parking area inside The Pear Tree.

  • Is there a taxi rank near The Pear Tree?

    A designated taxi rank is located at 140 William Street (between Wellington and Murray Streets). 

    This Taxi rank is supervised on Friday and Saturday night. Taxis can also be ordered from Perth’s major taxi companies which include:

     

    A taxi service is available for passengers with disabilities. This service operates 24 hours a day and it is recommended to book 24 hours in advance to avoid delays. The service can be booked on (08) 9333 3377.

    You can also download the Uber and Ola apps to be picked up securely from outside The Pear Tree venue.

  • What should I bring into The Pear Tree?

    » Proof of age or any concession cards you require

    » Tickets (if you’re seeing a show)

    » Shoes (Bare feet are not ok. Wear shoes at all times!)

  • What can’t I bring into The Pear Tree?

    » Alcohol (We are licensed - you cannot bring in or take alcohol from the area. Just like a pub or club. Any banned items will be confiscated and not returned.)

    » Liquids (Unfortunately some people want to smuggle in alcohol, which breaches our Liquor License. Only empty bottles can be brought in. But, water is freely available once inside.)

    » Pets and animals (unless assist dogs)

    » Professional cameras without prior permission (Happy snaps are welcome, but anyone with a professional camera must have prior permission from The Pear Tree. Please contact info@childrenofthepeartree.com)

    » Any other items considered illegal or dangerous

  • Can I bring my own food?

    Yes. You can bring your own food with you and there will be a variety of food options at the venue available to purchase.

  • Can I use my camera or recording device at The Pear Tree?

    The use of cameras, videos or other recording devices is strictly prohibited inside The Pear Tree's venue. Outside of the tent - we love happy snaps! Post them, share them and generally snap away (#thepeartree). All professional photography and filming on site at The The Pear Tree needs prior approval from The Children of the Pear Tree with advance notice. If approval has not been given any professional photography and filming will be prohibited. Please contact info@childrenofthepeartree.com
